Position Description: This position focuses on working to provide clinical, emergency, and acute care to patients throughout the life cycle. We do not have obstetric services. We are recruiting to staff to a call schedule of 1:3. Salaries are competitive for our region and commensurate with experience. Nebraska Blue Cross Health and Dental Insurance as well as facility sponsored retirement program are among the benefits available for our employees. Relocation assistance is negotiable. We are designated an underserved area with possible loan repayment from Federal through the National Service Health Corp and/or Nebraska State Loan Repayment Program. Medical Laboratory Manager

Position Description: Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Garden County Health Services is looking for a team leader with management skills as well as strong technical skills. Must have a minimum of an associates degree in Arts and Science, five years bench experience, and two years of laboratory management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to manangement of test menu, proficiency testing, quality assurance, inventory management and purchasing. Testing disciplines include blood banking, hematology, coagulation, and general chemistry, urinalysis and serology. The laboratory is also responsible for performing ECGs and Holter monitoring. Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Call is shared between 3 individuals for evenings and weekends. The facility includes a critical access hospital with 24 hour emergency services, a rural health clinic and attached nursing home. Since we are a small rural facility, the opportunity to participate on trauma teams, IV teams, code teams is almost inherant. You truly become an integral part of our healthcare team. Facility Description: Garden County Health Services is a well-respected, county owned, non-profit health care provider. In Oshkosh we have a Critical Access Hospital with 10 beds, telemetry monitoring available, swing bed services, emergency services, outpatient surgery services, a multi-specialty clinic, an attached 40 bed long term care facility and an off campus 23 unit assisted living. Our emergency services include a lighted helipad and a fully staffed emergency team. Our physician is board certified and has an advanced practice registered nurse working with him.
