Harry Cross - Chairman

Ardena Regier - Vice Chairman

Ardena's area of expertise is Education MA. She has had real estate property in Garden County for thirty years, and for the last nine years has operated a small business. Ardena serves because, "I have a passion for keeping the Garden County Health Services the best it can be."

Marlis Shearer - Secretary

Marlis was born, raised and educated in Garden County. She then attended the University of Nebraska. Marlis taught business at Western Nebraska Technical College for nine years. She is motivated to ensure Garden County has a bright future by her grandchildren, who are growing up on the family farm that has raised 5 generations. Her mother spent three months in an out-of-county nursing home before returning to our Garden County facility, where she lived her remaining four years. Marlis says, "I know there is no better place to receive the loving care they deserve than our hometown facility! That's why I'm serving on the Board of Trustees." Marlis has served on the Board of Trustees for ten years.

Bill Jorgensen - Treasurer

Bill was born and raised in Curtis, Nebraska. He attended Medicine Valley schools and graduated in 1975. He then attended Kearney State College, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in History and Social Science. He taught at Lewellen Rural High School in Garden County from 1981-1986. For the last seventeen years, Bill has worked with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. He serves on the Board of Trustees because he believes in Garden County and that it is a "fantastic place."

Wanda Hartley - Member

Wanda was born and raised in Oshkosh, Nebraska. She started her career path as a nurse at the age of 17, attended college in Torrance, CA. and obtained her status of R.N. Wanda says serving on the Board of Trustees is her legacy because her Uncle was partially responsible for getting a bond issue to build the current facility. Many of her family members have been residents and were cared for by her Uncle, Dr. Albee.
